Auto-s.co direct debit €29.99: what is it? How to stop?

An Internet user sent us a message because he noticed bank charges under the heading auto-s.co €29.99.

Scam or legitimate expense?

Here is the main information of his message:

Have you noticed the direct debit one or more times (single purchase or regular debits)? : Recurrent

Does this collection follow an online purchase or a subscription on a website? : Yes

Hello
I wanted to buy the Crit'Air sticker and I received the sticker, but now I have a direct debit every month of €29.99 + €1.08 in bank charges because it is a foreign organization. This amount supposedly corresponds to a monthly subscription, could you help me with this? Thank you

If you also notice an auto-s.co charge of €29.99, you can read our advice below and/or leave a comment.

Tip: how to make a purchase online safely?

💡 Most banks now offer "dematerialized single-use bank cards": this may seem complicated, but it is actually a simple and safe way to avoid unpleasant surprises during your future purchases on the internet. Another point, adopt the reflex of checking the legal notices: you will most often find them at the bottom of websites. The legal notices specify in particular the location and address of the company responsible for the website on which you plan to make a purchase as well as a contact within the company. Finally, an effective trick is to enter the name of the site on Google to consult possible opinions of Internet users. 💡

How to stop / cancel / terminate this bank charge?

Stopping unwanted withdrawals or unsubscribing from a service is always free. This is usually done online. To do this, you can directly contact the company that originated the debits.
If you do not want to carry out these procedures alone and prefer to be accompanied by professionals, you can choose to get help from our service “ I stop the costs! »: this is a (paying) assistance service for the identification/cancellation of direct debits.

Who has already had to deal with this type of scam hpy*auto-s.co if so how did you manage to put a stop to it because there is no email address or telephone number and my bank tells me that it can't do anything I think that they could at least find out about this scam

Hello, I just realized that I was scammed too. Auto Portail tells me that I clicked on "take a subscription", accepted the conditions, etc. but I don't really remember when I clicked. And even less that I authorized an automatic withdrawal!!!! So I canceled the subscription (the height of it!!), contested it with my bank and blocked my card so I'm sure they won't charge me again. I'll learn a lesson for the future.

Hello. I have been the victim of the same scam with Auto s.co since June 2023. At first, I didn't pay more attention because I thought I had made purchases for the maintenance of my car but the last direct debit made me wonder and I was sure I had not bought anything for that. I searched on the internet and found that other people had been the victim of the same scam. So, I went to my bank and reported this scam, blocked my credit card. I have just received the full refund from my bank.
Do not hesitate to make a complaint because apparently the banks' scam services are aware of it.

I just suffered the same fate. I deleted my profile/account (created a few days ago) on the auto-portal portal and I blocked my credit card. I was debited once the amount of 29.99 euros and then I started to worry.

I have just been scammed by the site hpy*auto-sco Lond. I asked for a certificate of non-pledge, I paid 0,99 cents which seems normal to me but when validating the payment there is a box that informs you that you pay 0,99 and 48 hours before you are subscribed and you pay 39,90 euros. My loss is 140 euros. I'm fed up with all these fraudulent sites 👍👍
